i have a 4.5" lift on my 90 xj with 33x12.5 and i replaced them with a pair of 30x9.5's because the tires would rub against the control arms and front sway bar. i need some input on what size tires would be good. I was considering 33x10.5 bfg all terrains would this be an appropriate size so that the tires wouldn't hit the front suspension components.. Input is greatly appreciated

What's the backspacing on the wheels you're trying to use?

I seriously doubt your backspacing is 1". If it was, you would not be having problems rubbing the suspension components.

See here to get a visual of what backspacing is.

Backspacing determines how far the tires stick out of the wheel well (and away from you suspension components). The lower the number the farther they stick out. Stock backspacing on XJ's is 5.25". Most popular aftermarket rims run between 4.5" and 3.75". So the question is, what do you have? Wink
