I take it you're talking about wheel backspacing. According to the recommendation from Kevin's Offroad website you want 4.5" backspacing with a minimum of 4.0" on a 2" lift. A 4.25" to 3.75" for 3.5" lift. Or go to Kevin's website if you need further information and he'll break it down from 2" to 8" lifts.

The backspacing has nothing to do with your lift.. IE if you where running 14" of lift and stock tires...Stock rims and back spacing would be fine...

But if you want to go to Say.. 33X12.5 You will need at least 4" backspacing...

I Personally am running 3.75 with 35 X12.5 tires.. The backspacing on the rim is to allow wider tires to clear at full lock (turned all the way.) without rubbing... So its not dependent on lift its dependent on tire...

WIth 3.5 " of lift I think you could clear 31X10.5 stock rims should be fine.. But if you are going to buy rims go ahead and get the 4" backspacing so that when you decide to go with bigger tires you can...

Also keep in mind that more backspacing on your rims will put more pressure on your unit bearing causing them to wear faster...

Hope that helps..

Carl
