I am looking for a 4.5" long arm kit for a Cherokee. It's well known that Rubicon Express makes the best lifts so I thought I would just snag this up.

Well, after looking and looking, I only found this kit, which I don't think is a Long Arm kit.

6130 - 4.5" Super-Flex w/ Rear Springs, XJ

I saw a 5.5" Long Arm kit from R.E. but no 4.5" Long Arm kit.

Does this not exist?

OK - next question. If no 4.5" Long Arm from R.E., who makes the best 4.5" Long Arm kit and is that any better then the 6130 4.5" Super-flex?

Thanks

You don't really need long arms with the 4.5" kit, but if you really wanted to I suppose you could pick up the 4.5" kit (RE6130 or RE6111) and get the Long Arm Upgrade (RE6330). Long arms won't really do much for you until you start approaching 6".

RE's dealers will typically substitute their smaller coils on bigger lifts. Lots of TJ guys get the RE 4.5 SuperFlex and substitute the 3.5 coils. The 4.5 SF kit is more complete. If you want the LA, get the 5.5 LA but substitute the 4.5 coils.

Personally, I'd recommend Clayton Offroad Mfg for your LA kit. Check them out. Lifetime warranty, awesome service, great product. It does require welding though. www.claytonoffroad.com

What makes the R.E. a big joke? If there is one thing that is common in forums, it's people dissing products they don't have and saying they suck but not giving any detailed info why.

If it sucks so bad, tell me why.

RE has some problems with the arms bending when used. They don't provide much service when this occurs other than offering to sell you a new arm.

Clayton will replace it if bent or broken, free of charge.

It's all relative. In terms of out of the box, bolt on, short arm kits between 3-6" for XJ's RE is pretty good. I personally don't like their long arm solution, but that's me. Clayton, Nth Degree and RockKrawler (not necessarly in that order) all have better LA solutions than RE does.
