is it ok to put 4:56 gears on 35 danas? for a 99 sahara with a 4" lift on 33?

or should I stick with 4:11 with my 33". don't expect to put on 35" tires on it.[/code]

Of the two ratios you listed, the 4.56s would be better. However, I'd be asking myself if I want to spend that kind of money to polish a turd.

the d35 is very weak, and it's pretty much useless to do any work to it.
Go with a stronger axle and then regear.

35 is not bad with a super kit it is as stout. housing mildly weaker than the 44. 44 is relatively cheap and common in wrecking yards now even with TJ moutings so get a 44 you'll thank us all for it later;)

Are you positive that's a D35?...if you said it was a sahara, then the stock axle is a D44, right?

No. The D44 is not included in the Sahara package.
