Hey all,

Just the noob here, sorry if this has already been brought up. but, my car is heating up to the normal temp (210 ish) and yet my heater is on and its nothing but cold air. Ive been told that its either a blocked heater core, a broken heater core, or the blend doors aren't working right. How can i check and prefereably fix this problem without spending all my money on a repair shop? any ideas at ALL would help so, so much. thanks!!

Just a few questions for you, what year is the truck? Is the heater hoses going through the firewall getting hot and if so is the bypass valve near the firewall stuck? If the hose is hot on the engine side but not on the firewall side on the other side of the valve then the valve is your problem. I know the older ones used to stick but I don't think newer ones have the same setup. Seems to be lots of people with heat issues lately, good luck! Very Happy

This may sound dumb but is your coolant level down? This can easily cause your engine to get up to temp, but blow cold air.
