I'm looking for a hood that will give me a bit more engine clearance (an inch or more). I KNOW that I've seen aftermarket hoods for Jeeps, but the Google results I get are less than dramatic.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of some NICE aftermarket TJ hoods?

Thanks...

One of the guys I know in another club replied with this when I asked him about the hood that he had on his TJ. As a side note he's running a Vortec 350 in his Jeep.

THE HOOD CAME FROM HOODS UNLIMITED

THEY ARE ON LINE THEY WERE A BIT SLOW TO DELIVER AND THE FIST ONE CAME WRONG ABOUT 3.5 MONTHS WHY? STILL UNCLEAR BUT THE TOP DOES LOOK NICE IT WAS ABOUT $400 THAT INCLUDED SHIPPING

The AEV hood is quite nice, but it appears to cave in, reducing clearance.

I searched JC Whitney's site, could only find stick on scoops...which I may have to resort to cutting the OEM hood and using something like that...but I would rather not.

I searched for Hoods Unlimited...couldn't find their website...

Thanks for the suggestions fellas, keep em' coming if you think of any more.

Yep, that's the ONLY site I've found so far that will do the trick. The only problem is that's the place I got the hood for my car from. It wasn't the worst in fit and finish, but it certainly wasn't the best either. I was hoping to find something that had a bit better fit/finish...but I guess that's for the body shop to worry about, LOL.

Thanks though!
