has anyone hear of someone sandplasting thier chrome rims and then painting them black? I want to try it because the salt has finally gotten to them after the past two snow storms this year

Just rough them up with sandpaper and spray them. No need to go through the expense of dismounting tire, having them blasted, painting, and then remounting tires.
