I found a site on the www showing a cable controlled hood lock, operated from inside the Jeep. It is lockable and may also be used to disable the starter. It is made by Hornet Security.
Has anybody here installed this lock?
I can't find anyone who sells it - if you know where I can find one, please share.

Thanks,

I found this. It looks like it's a discontinued product. You could probably try a local alarm installer and see if they can get one for you too.

I am looking for basically this same product and this is the closest I have found. I used to own a 95 yj and when I bought it I purchased a hood lock/ignition kill set for it because I didn't want to splurge for a whole alarm. When I got my TJ, I started out looking for this setup again. It was a setup with a key that looks like it belongs to a deep freeze or an older style refridgerator. It hooked to a couple of wires under the hood and when you pushed in the button then it killed your jeep and locked your hood. It was made for jeeps, you had to screw the lock on the hood. This one is close, but I really liked the other one. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I think I got it from one of the major parts suppliers, Quadratec, jcwhitney, or 4wd.
