I was thinking about buying one of these things. I heard it can help u save on gas and add a little horsepower. With the gas prices still climbing I'm trying to save anywhere I can. Has anybody tried it on their GC? I don't want to install it and mess anything up on my Jeep. Very Happy

I just can't see why it should save gas or add power by creating a swirl Confused
But hey,let me know if it works Mr. Green

I've heard of them breaking a fin and since its not in front of the filter all the metal goes right up into your engine. I don't know these people personally but I have heard about it in reviews.

My buddy put one in his V6 ranger, and it didn't do anything, no power no fuel economy increases. He returned it for a refund.

The best fuel economy is had by proper tire inflation, regular oil changes, and better airflow. ( high flow air filter, and free flowing exhaust.)

If your looking for your quickest payback at the pump, air the tires perfectly, and drop in a K&N filter.

Send me the money you'd use to buy one. I'll increase your mileage and power because you won't be carrying around as much weight in your wallet.

I was stupid once. I bought a Tornado and put it in my 93 S10 pickup. It didn't do a darn thing. No power increase, no mileage increase. I wasted $60 on it. Take my advice very seriously, don't waste the money on it.

Yeah... they don't work.

Any swirl will be quickly negated by the obstructions in the throttle body and the pulsating vacuum in the manifold. I don't think it will hurt anything... well... unless a fin breaks off... but it surely won't help. The ONLY way any swirl would ever help you is if it gave better atomization of the fuel, and even then it would be questionable. The only real time you could run into atomization problems is with a TBI setup where a large volume of fuel is being injected through one or two injectors. Even then the swirl would not cause enough turbulent airflow, in my opinion, to help out. Just keep your injectors clean, free up the inatke and exhaust, and be easy with the go-pedal. Oh... and a good synthetic oil. I use Mobil 1. Trust me, it makes a difference.
