The automatic locks will unlock, but not lock the doors. I have checked fuses & relays, they all seem to be OK. Anone have suggestions

you might have a bad switch. does it do this on both sides?

It works the same on all doors, will unlock, but not lock. by jumping the connections where the relays plug in I made it lock once, but I'm not sure what to do now.

Check the wiring in the boot on the driver side door jam. Wires could be broken from the door being opened and closed so mutch. Its rare to see the switches go bad Rolling Eyes

check the relays in glove compartment.I cant remember which one.
mine went it was easy.my zj is a 95 i believe they are all the same up to 98

check the freaking chime module that is the stupidest thing in the world i really hate that thing. i had the same problem for nearly two years finally found out it was the chime module being gone which is a ground for the power lock switch but not the unlock hence unlock works lock doesnt good luck i now know quite a bit about the power locks/ wiring in the first gen gc so let me know how it goes.

Just wondered if you found a solution to your not locking doors? I have the same problem doors will unlock but wont lock... Getting very frustrated!! some help would be very appreciated
