Now I am clueless about stuff like this and I admit it , So help me out here,
I recently bought a used Mopar Sound Deck at an auction to put in the back of my jeep (It has an 8" subwoofer and some tweeters and an integrated 50watt amp) The wiring harness came with it and I had no trouble hooking it up to the back of my radio, except for the red power lead, how exactly should I hook this up ,also It has a 5 amp fuse in the powerlead is 5 the right size I didnt know if maybe it had been replaced or what. Any help would be Greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

5 amps should be ok. Hook the power wire to the battery. That is how every other amp I have installed goes in.

Close to the fuse box I find two wires (98 TJ) a blue one and a red one the blue one reads :switched aux power 3 amp max. the red one says unswitched aux power 10 amps max what are suitable applications of these? I tried wiring into the red one with no results.... bad amp??

I have a zj so I'm not sure what those wires are. Basically with an amp install you typically just put some sort of "hoop like" connector on the end of the wire and hook it to a battery terminal.

This is kinda what my battery looks like. Se how the wires are held on by tightening a screw on the connector? (battery has the yellow top, but you knew that didn't you Wink ) I found a circular wire fitting and sandwiched it beween the connector and the bolt.

Also make sure that your ground is to a good metal non painted surface. It is recomended that the ground wire not exceed 3 feet in length (I don't know why though).
