hi, the name's carl, got a quick question...is it normal to have less tire clearance in the fron than the back? cause my 97 tj has about 8 inches of tire clearance in the rear while in the front it has 6.5 inches...could this be due to worn shock abosrbers or coils?

A TJ, right from the factory, has a bit of nose dive.

Any basic gas or non-gas shock has anything to do with ride height. Its all in the coils. The easiest way to level it would be to put a pair of spacers in the front. Not the ones that go into the springs, but the ones that sit on top of the coils. Tera spacers come to mind.
