I would like to know what tires everyone is running and if you are happy with them or not. What things do you like about then and what do you dislike.

I am running Dunlop Mud Rovers; 32 X 11.50 15. I am pretty happy with them but I did not get to use them much offroad. I bought them for my 92 S-10 Blazer and drove it for about 2 months before it quit on me. Then I lifted my XJ 5 inches and put them on that but didn't align it and scrubbed them off in just a couple thousand miles.
Sooo, now I'm getting ready to buy new 33's and I will probably be buying Swampers this time but I am curios what everyone else is running. I find tires very interesting for some reason. Here is a pic of mine...

Until recently I was running BFG MT's on the XJ. Good all around tire for the buck, but the sidewall does not hold up well to abrasion. The TJ has GY MTR's on it. A good tire, but very expensive and once again, the sidewalls are kind of thin.

I currently have Trxus MT's for both. The XJ won't be back on the road for another couple of weeks and the TJ won't get it's set installed until after the XJ is moving under it's own power again.

Here's a pic of the XJ on the Trxus:

Good Year MTR's 32"

Have removed fender flares and trimmed front quite a bit (Since this pic) but still NOT removed rear fender flares and trimmed rear wheel openings yet.

Looks Geeky (as JEN luvs pointing out!) but hey i been busy!!!!

Still have to take out that DENTED up gas tank, replace it and install gas tank skid!

Want to fix my Cruise control too. NOT a vacuum problem so on to the switch and electrical.

Have now received my FSM now, Yahoo!

Goodyear MTR 32 x 11.50R15 Tires

Cragar Series 352 Black Simulated Bead lock Steel Wheel
15" x 8" / 3.75" backspacing / 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern

They have a (fake) beadlock trim that makes them look big in photo!

Oh yeah, I fixed the Cruise Control today! Was a kink in wiring at turn signal mount Speed Control switch. I cut out the weak area where wire had be creased/bent and evidently all but severed wire. I spliced it back together and everything works great! FSM wiring diagrams have paid for itself on first problem!

Buy a FSM!!! Reprinted Factory Service Manual has MUCH more accurate/detailed info than stupid Chilton's or other such bogus manauls!

I was way off (on the rims)! Lol. Yeah, gotta have the cruise control. I think I'm gonna make an appointment tomorrow to have it aligned next week. We are going to the badlands the 29th of April and I don't want to end up with bald tires before then, lol. Can't wait to buy new ones though!

Here's a pic of the Mud Rovers being used at the Natural Bridge State Park in KY two years ago.

The windshield say's "IT'S AN OFFROAD THING...YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND. Seemed to tick off a lot off stock Jeeps around here with the Jeep thing sticker...I got hate glares, lol. Oh well, I like ALL 4x4's, if they are wheeled (at least a little).

To avoid hijacking this thread, I've started another on my junk. Let's keep this one on topic. It's my fault it went off in the first place. Sorry CC...

The topic is..."What tires everyone is running and if you are happy with them or not. What things do you like about them and what do you dislike."

Pics are highly encouraged. Wink

Carry on.
