Hello I have a 2001 GC 4.0. I have a coolent leak and cant figuer out where it is comeing from. It looks like its dripping from where the oil pan ends any help is greatly thankfull. Thanks Steven

Firewall drain from the heater core maybe? That would normally mean you have a cracked heater core...but I have an XJ dunno if the Grand is the same.

I just got home and went back outside to get somthing out of my jeep and saw it dripping. what is that thing that the bottom raidator hoes goes in to ?

Do you mean the water pump?
You need a new water pump I'd guess.

Yup.. Bottom hose goes into water pump..

And that is a sign that the water pump is bad... There is a bearing in the water pump.. When it gets hot from wear it heats up a seal and causes the waterpump to weap from the front...

Thats probobly your problem...


GIve it a look.. If it looks like its leaking right from the shaft of the water pump.. Change it...

I would suggest you spend a little extra and get a Melling High flow unit while you are at it...
