98 TJ 2.5L

I put an electric fan in it a couple of weeks ago. I bought the flex-a-lite bracket to mout the powersteering and radiator peuke tank on. With that bracket, you have to turn the ps resovoir 180 degrees. When i did this I developed a small leak at the pump. I noticed the diff was wet and the hose was wet, not real bad, enough to make me want to fix it. I thought maybe a hose clamp on it would work, I just did that and now I can see it drip out. It is the hose that runs from the res to the pump. If I understand correctly these are just return hoses and not pressure. If I had about a 3 inch longer hose I think it would fix it. So my question is: what size is the hose? I think it measures 1 inch OD but what is it ID? Anybody know? And will any hose work or is there something special about these hoses? Local parts store has a rack of different size hose, looks like the same kind of stuff. Help me out, dunno if I'll have any fluid left by this time tomorrow.

I'll have to go out and check, seems like the rubber hose is a return line so it shouldn't matter as long as it's not some funky material that dissolves in power steering fluid. Again, I'll have to check, but it seems like the pressure lines are for the most part metal tubing with a couple of rubber sections to allow the system to flex.

Yeah, I got it fixed. Just so you know. The line from the resovior to the pump it 5/8, and the one from the res to the box is 11/32 I think is what the parts book at the store said.
