Here's an update about the problem I posted a while back (link below). I'm still having the starting problem. Kill the engine after a cold start and it won't start again for apx. 4-5 min. However, the tranny shift problem I stated in the last thread hasn't presented its self since I had the car checked (for the tranny problem). My mechanic agrees with The Phantum and thinks the starting problem is the neutral safety switch, but since it was looked at I can't get the tranny so not shift into 4th (the original problem). I had the car looked at around the 15th of April and haven't had the shift problem since.

Any Ideas?

I've seen the same thing on a few XJ's. The problem is theres a sweep inside the neutral safety switch and dust/dirt collect on the contacts. The switches are pretty expensive too. I suggest if you have any more problems take the switch off... open it up and spray the inside contacts and sweep with electrical cleaner. I've had success before, definitely the cheaper route to go.
