Hi, I just got my Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and want to know of a good back seat modification or a replacement back seat that comes with a head rest. I plan on doing some travel with my truck and want it to be more safe for my kids. Anyone know of a good solution?

Thanks

Andrew

How old/big are the kids?

Both are under the age of 9. Their head extends over the back of the seat so if I was hit from behind, they would have nothing to support their head/neck. Instead of replacing the rear seat, it may be possible to design something that attaches to the roll bar, perhaps a board with cushion.

Thanks

Andrew

If they're under 4'9" tall, look at some of the booster seats on the market - they're designed for what you're talking about.

I've never seen anything such as that. You're best aftermarket option is to replace the entire seat. Check out those from companies like Mastercraft.

I got rear ended two weeks ago, thank God my 10 year old was not in the Jeep. That was the first thing I thought of after it happened.

I have looked on the net and cant find anything. I think I might have a local shop make some. I don't think it would be a difficult modification.
