Just curious if most run a rear sway bar? I know that disconnects are standard mod for the front but what about the back?

Any info is great, Thank you.

Don't throw away the frame mount brackets for it...you can turn them into a set of BPE's. Wink

Ditto. When I removed mine, I barely noticed the difference.

I'm sure there's some out there, but I don't have a writeup for it. It's just something I did one Sat afternoon about a year and a half ago. I had extra brackets laying around the garage from a couple of other XJ's we had lifted/pulled the rear bar out of, so I made both front and rear ones. The rears are easy, it pretty much just bolts together. The fronts needed to be cut down a bit so they would fit on the mount. Pics are worth a 1000 words:

Front:

Rear:

I'm still using them with my current setup. You can see the drivers side rear in this pic:

Cost was less then $5 for all the nuts and bolts and about an hour or so to make them fit. Can't beat that with a stick. Wink

Yo Phantum I see you got new shocks. What are those, where did you get those and how much do they cost? I need to get new ones again the ones I got from autozone are all rusty and look like #$%#$.
I turned my frame mounts into BPE's too couple of months ago, thanks for a tip Phantum.

Those are Bilstien 5100 off road shocks. I got them from Beau over at ORI. If memory serves I got them for around $75 or so apiece.

Nifty use of the frame mounts. I'll have to keep that in mind.

That is a nice idea. I think I will do the same. If you are looking at getting new shocks, like the bilstein 5100, I would recommend getting the 5150. For $80-$100, depending on where you get them, they are well worth the money.
