when switching from 2WD to 4WD, or partime 4wd, do u put the shifter from D(drive) to Neutral? or just leave it in drive and just take foot of the gas? personaly i've been putting it in neutral and then shifting, but the manual says just shift but tap the gas few times. what is the corect way?

If you are going from 4 high to 4 low you should slow down to about 3 to 5 MPh and just pull the shifter into whatever gear you want it to be in... Then proceed on..

From 2wd to 4wd you can just do it on the fly.. But I wouldnt do it over 45..
