Ok, just got 31's put on my stock Jeep and they look pretty sweet. General grabber At2's if you were wondering. Now, I want to get a new speedo gear so that it is correct, but which one do I get? I think it has 4.10 gears and 31 inch tires. I have found 3 charts that all say different tooth numbers. I think they said like 35 36 and 38. So which one is right? Should I just go to the local dealer? Also, I have a little tire rub, did I read somewhere where you can adjust a stop on the steering somewhere? Thanks guys.

I've found the speedo gear chart listed in the Tech section on Raingler.com to be the most accurate and recommended.

Ok, the two tooth counts I have found as answers are 36 and 38. 4wheel drive hardware and quadratec catalogs say 36, some sites say 36 and other sites say 38....? Anybody that has 31's and 4.10 gears done this? What did you use?

Split the middle and go with a 37. Or quit worrying about it as it won't make that much of a difference. The speedometers aren't that accurate from the factory brand new.

I agree w/ehirner, raingler.com stated I should use p/n 52067633 for a 3.73:1 w/31" tires, however it was about 4mph off, now with the 32" tires and using the SAME p/n the speedo is adjusted perfectly (at least according to my GPS).

For the steering rub, all you need to do is put some washers on you steering stops.
Your steering stops are located on lower part of your sprinles, you'll see what looks like a double headed bolt holding nothing. You don't even need to turn the wheel to get to them, although they might be a little tough to break loose...
I put 2 lock washers per side and no rub. 2 or 3 on each side should do fine. just don't put any more washers on than you have to.
The only down side is you'll lose some turning radius, but you might not even notice it.

One washer per side did it for me when I was running 32's......I never did rub with 31's.

That won't do squat to fix rubbing the control arms and swaybar when the wheels are turned.
