94 gc limited I-6 4.0. Started with it getting harder and harder to start. Then would only start intermittently. Never tuned so replaced plugs, wires, rotor, cap.Still no start replaced coil. All this time it does crank but no fire.Has spark at this point and the fuel pump turns on with key. Tried turning on key off and on codes 12 34 55. Then tired key to prime fuel pump several times and it started. I drove it to work and it has not started since. Still cranks no start but now fuel pump does not turn on. So did swampy bypass with the same results. No fuel pump noise with key turned on. Has spark no start just crank. Wondering if anyone else has had these issues and where to go from here. Computer? Crank position sensor? Cam position sensor? The relay was checked and is good. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly welcome. Crying or Very sad

I would try running a wire straight from the battery to the fuel pump to see if it will start with fuel.. (then find the problem with the line ..IE fuse or what-have-you.) Check the fuse or relay ..Whichever you have ..

Then if you get fuel and it still wont start I would change Crank Position sensor..

I agree with them, it sounds like your not getting any fuel, and at the risk of sounding like a jackass, how much gas is in your tank? No offense, I just know that thats something I would overlook. Check your fuel lines and make sure that the fuel can even move down the line, i.e. no clogs or leaks.

Since the pump does run when you turn on the ignition, I would check fuel pressure at the rail first. On the 4.0L it should be right around 49psi +/-5psi. If that's within range then go with the CPS like Swampy said.

New update the crank angle sensor has been changed and a new relay for the asd and fuel pump. Battery was dead so tried to jump start with a f -150 battery fuel pump still does not turn on. So my next thought is the computer.Anyone else have any thoughts. Thanks for all the input so far.

I see you replaced the CPS, did you test the one in the distributer? That's what killed the one I had.

The consensus was the crank position sensor so changed that first. Maybe I have been misreading.Mine is a 1994 gc and I thought that the cam position sensor controlled spark- that - I have.It cranks but not start. Todays project will be to charge my battery or replace it as with all the attempting things to get it to start the battery is now toast. It also would not start witha a jumpstart either. Can someone else chime in about the cam position sensor.I can order one. Just running out of ideas.
