I was coming home from work the other day when I saw a WJ with a brush guard and a winch mounted on it. In the 3 seconds I got see it, it looked like a standard brush gueard, couldn't tell brand and it looked like the winch had a blue color to it so I'm guessing it was a ramsey winch. The winch looked pretty small to me but is a brush gueard strong enough to take the pull of a winch?

Ramsey does make brush guards with extra support to handle the extra weight of the winch as well as the strain of winching something. However, I found one for a cherokee but not a grand cherokee. As for the winch being small- could it have been a ramsey atv winch? Those only carry about 2-3000 pounds.

I only got a few seconds to see it because it was oncoming traffic but it could have been a small atv winch. If it only has 3000 pound pull then I guess he won't be using it to get himself out of the mud.
