Guys, I have a buddy in AZ that has a 79 CJ7, 3 speed manual, 252 six cyl, no top, no doors. has a roll bar, new tires, carb, clutch, etc. Body is fairly rust free. He ripped off the fender flares, because he just wanted it for deer hunting, etc on the desert, and he will sell it to me for 1,000 dollars. He has a n 83 CJ5 in pretty cherry condition he now uses. I told him consider it sold. I plan to initially use it for kicing around with and deer hunting etc myself, except, I want to gradually get it in better condition.

The only thing I dont really like is the 3 speed tranny, and not sure what the gears are in the diffs, but I have been in it on several occasions and in 4 low it does just fine.

By the way, my wife thinks I have lost my marbles......................LOL
