Id think so but beware you will probably need the bigger trans, the computer for the 5.9

I believe that the only real difference (besides displacement) between the two blocks are the balancing- one is internal, the other external. Check out: How to Modify Your Mopar Magnum V-8HP1473: A Step-by-Step Guide to Modifying Magnum Series Engines for High PerformanceStreet and Racing Applications (Paperback)
by Larry Shepard on the Amazon.com page: http://www.amazon.com/Modify-Mopar-Magnum-V-8HP1473-PerformanceStreet/dp/1557884730/sr=1-2/qid=1157694709/ref=sr_1_2/103-5102276-7379009?ie=UTF8&s=books

But then again hell, look at the numbers those Jeepspeed guys are getting from straight sixes! There are now even superhigh horsepower stroker 4.6 I-6's. I guess it all boils down to money and how much of your own work you want to put into it. I mean if you are going for a new motor why not one of those HEMI's everyones raving about? Or do you already have a salvaged 5.9? There was a lot more different from the 5.2ZJ and the 5.9. Like the alternator, fans, starter, etc... so don't just think that you can put a dakota or durango 5.9 in and have it perform the same however if you purchased a junked 5.9 from a insurance company and are looking to swap everything in the engine bay over that is a different story.... good luck!

first off if there is nothing wrong with your motor don't touch. If your motor is bad then ok. Sence you have the whole car just swap trans and all and you would probably need to use the wiring harness and computer. That should work.Good Luck
