I just heard about the new NFL package from directv that says it lets you watch 8 games on 1 screen. Hereís where I saw it: www.heybuttercup.com I have the sunday ticket package, got six TVís set up here and all my feeds running through a separate mixer so I can bring up whatever audio slice weíre watching at the time and listen to it, or just keep them all low with one featured like a sports bar. I need to simplify, itís costing too much. How does the 8 games in 1 work? Anyone have that superfan package?

A buddy of mine has it. There are two Game Mix channels that show 8 games each. The screen is divided up into 8 smaller screens. It's kind of like picture-in-picture except you watch 8 feeds at one time. From the link you posted, click Game Mix and you'll see a screen shot.

There's also the Red Zone Channel which flips to whichever team is within the red zone and about the score. Kind of fun but confusing as they keep switching games.

Cool, both those things sound good. What do they do with the audio on the 8 games on 1 screen? Is it silent, or a mix, or what?

I believe it operates similar to the Red Zone channel but honestly, I don't know. With 8 screens to watch, it's hard figuring out which game they're playing the audio from. It's not like the commentators are on the screen and you can figure out which one is playing based on their mouths moving.

Not sure how the 8 in 1 package works with audio, but Dish Network has a similar setup where you can have 8 different channels on 1 screen. You can scroll through them and you hear the audio for whichever one is selected/highlighted. I would suspect the DTV superfan package works the same way.

I asked Google: "The Game Mix channels are back-to-back on the channel lineup, and consist of eight small screens that have action from eight different games. A person can choose which game's audio to listen to by moving the on-screen cursor over the game of choice."

Speaking of the redzone channel, how does that work? Is there always something there? What do they play when no one's in the redzone? What if two games enter the redzone at once?
