any one know of any companies that make a basic steel bumper for a 93 grand cherokee. Hopefully I can find one for $200. I dont want anything fancy just something solid to hook up some tow brackets to it. thanks

A bumper for $200 will be tough to find. I've made some previous posts about bumpers from Kennesaw Mountain Accessories and some others like a few that I've found on ebay. So do a search of the forum and you'll find the previous posts. You may be better off looking for a used bumper though. Try to look online at craigslist, ebay, or any other classified ads or auction site for a bumper. You may also want to post in the "wanted to buy" section of this and other forums too. However, you've got to remember that steel bumpers are quite heavy and shipping will cost alot and that may blow your budget even if you find a bumper for around $200. A cheaper option would be to just add a front reciever hitch and then get a reciever plug that has a shackle or tow hook on it or you could add D-rings or hooks straight to the hitch. I added a front reciever to get a place to mount a winch. The only real downside is that you'll lose your factory skid plate and you may lose some of the clearance for the approach angle. I had a custom skid plate fabbed up to the reciever but since my Jeep is lifted I've never needed it.

kevinsjeepparts.com has a ZJ radiator/tow point that actually increases the ground clearance up front, works with the existing front bumper, and is well under $200. His web site has some pictures of it.
