Where In The World Is Jakster

OK You Jeep Jockeys here is a little fun for you to play with in your Jeeped up minds. If you have Jeeped to this place that is on the maps then you will get it right away.
Figure out where this place is and what it's name is. One hint Colorado

Hwy 160 East Bound from Purgatory. A Diamond in the rough.

Past the feed store like the song says but going the other way.
Here the road forks East and West.
"At Last" a ranch, turn here follow the road keep right.
Through all the streams almost.
Don't Look Down.
That's a deep one.
Is that the bridge or a water fall.
This one is dry but when it is running whoa!
they must have used steam.
You on the right tracks.
A dump site.
What a hole.
I thought they were all white.

So where is Jakster????? good luck.

Ok so I did not get a reply on the last post so I am sure the game is going on to long so here is the place.

The clue At Last Ranch is the name of a big ranch at the turn off to the East Fork road.
after crossing several streams and a place where it is a thousand feet to the bottom with logs and rocks holding the road togather (Caution)you come to the bridge.
The bridge is long gone but pieces are submerged in the stream which can wash you off the waterfall which is right next to the bridge ( use extream caution here) then up the road you will find what looks like a stream bed or rough trail depending on how many people found it this summer. Go up the rock crawl through the ditch with the sides looking in your windows past the remains of the old cabin where it is said three guys froze to death trying to stay and dig for gold just a local tale. Up the road a little more you will come to a mine dump site with tracks and the entrance to hole #1 and a small cabin and the lab, also you will see the remains of the old steam rock crusher they use to use. Up the hill a little is hole #2 and a large aframe cabin don't mess with anything if the cabin is occupied the miners are at the site. They use to welcome visitors and would like to trade for any goodies you might have sweets and things. Well you are here a diamond in the rough. THE BLACK DIAMOND MINES located at the end of the East Fork Road and at around 10.000 feet this is a neat trip but do use caution if it rains you can not cross the river getting out you will have to camp overnight and it is cold as a well diggers ass in January up their.
So you have it The location of the BLACK DIAMOND MINES better hurry it will be snowed in soon. Cool

It is a blast sorry no photos. I have been going up the moutain for a long time but I have not been up to the site in 5 years but I don't think it could have changed much. You can find allot of mine tailings even some silver if you look. It is way cool a hike up the creek past the cabins and you will find a big water fall check it out. It is a cool place. I will try and give you directions to a way to Summit Ville from the same road but back down toward Hwy160 it is low range only and a real scary climb up a rock slide but once on top all trails to Del Norte and South Fork. Gotta Run Later
