My son was driving around today and found an MJ sitting next to a guys shop out in the country with grass growing up around it.
An old farmer owns it and told me he does not use it any more. Now get this. It is all stock, 4X4 NP231, AW4 trans, gauge cluster (not lights), small AT tires, used for general small farm use, bed a little banged up but in great shape otherwise. He put a battery in it and it started right up. Looked under the back of it and it has a Dana 44.
Told me he would take $500 for it
So I told him SOLD!!!! Mr. Green

I'm confused about the MJ... If the Cherokee is a unibody and the Comanche is built using the same essential design, does the MJ's unibody just cover the cab/hood/roof/fenders/everything in front of the bed and then go back into a traditional ladder style frame which the bed attaches to? Or is the bed an actual stress-bearing portion of the unibody? I ask because the bed appears to be totally independent and removable from the other body parts and I don't recall ever seeing another unibody with such a significant portion of the body being removeable. Most of the modern unibody vehicles I've seen today that feature a bed all seem to have some sort of midgate between the bed and cab and therefore there is no seam between the body panels of the cab and the bed. The only vehicle that I know that could be of a similar design to the MJ is the Explorer Sport Trac (its a unibody isn't it?) since there is a gap between the bed and the cab.

Here it is, I put the XJ rims on it because the tires were dry rotted plus they look better. Other than that this is how I found it.
