2000 Jeep TJ having problems with our heater, we can only use it on the medium-low setting. This is a new problem that started this last weekend, before that everything was working fine. This is a new heater as of March 2006 (we replaced the whole heating unit and parts) if you have any advise on how to fix this please let us know....thanks

There are a few problems with TJ's and the knobs. Most 2K+ require knob replacement. I could be your resistor though.

If you haven"t figured this out yet maybe this will help. I just replace the fan control swx on my 00TJ. Only speed 3 was inop. Remove the control panel. Remove the connector from the back of the swx, with a jumper wire you can experiment to see if all the fan speed work by jumping from the brown wire (hot) to the other positions. If they all work the swx is bad. remove the swx retainer screw in the back,1/4 hex, with a flat screw driver pry the swx up just enough to move the knob a little, be careful here, replace the swx, knob etc. in reverse order. If you cannot get all speeds to work from the swx connector the next place is the risistor pack.
