Does your XJ still have the heat shield attached to the floorpan for the converter?

The previous owner of my XJ had a kid that sat on the passenger side in the back seat. When I got my cat replaced the muffler shop noticed that the floor had completely rusted through. Probably a combination of the high heat from the exhaust, and the kid drinking OJ and other stuff that was acidic (Under the carpet, what was left of the floor had quite a bit of sticky residue). A couple panels of stainless, some rivets, and about four hours and my entire passenger side floor was replaced. It was that bad, especially in the back.

I'd take a look under the car after it cools down. Prod around with a screwdriver. If the floor is soft you have issues.
