I have a 2006 diesel with the 5 speed auto that does not seem to be shifting correctly. It is shifting to 4th gear at 50 mph and will not shift to 5th gear until 61 mph. Is this normal? It seems like the engine is running out of power before it gets to the next gear under normal acceleration. I would like if anyone could tell me when your diesels shift to 4th and 5th gear. |

That sounds about right. My 2005 now shifts into 4th & 5th respectively at 50-51 & 62mph with the latest TCM re-flash. Once you've accelerated past 62mph, the trans will hold 5th gear down to 56-57mph.
