Ive been looking around alot and can't find a good write up with pics on how to install a lift kit in my 91 XJ...I just got a 3" kit with full leaf packs. Smile

Anyone know of one or have a link?

None for 91 specific, but XJ's are pretty much the same anyway.

i cant seem to find a good detailed one with pics, alot of them just skip through parts and assume everyone knows all the stuff they do...aha oh well. Got all my parts now, just gotta find some time during busy Christmas to get started!

One more.
Make sure your new leaf springs have the eye bushings installed before you get started. Stock ones need to be pressed out with a hydraulic press if you plan to re use them.

well looks like I gotta take off the hitch and the running boards to get the leaf bolts off....hopefully Ill get some time this holiday to start somethin! Confused

Does anyone here have a hitch and installed leafs without removing it? It looks like i may be able to unbolt the shackle and then unbolt the leaf from it...
I'm assuming the nut for the shackel bolt is welded inside the frame?
