Everytime I start my XJ or even turn the key on, it beeps 5 times from the gauges...anyone know what this is? It just started today.

Mine always beeps when the key is first turned. I think it's a seat belt warning but not sure. I don't really feel like going out to check it right now... Mr. Green My guess is you had a loose connection that is now working unless this is an additional beep.

A couple days ago I wired my (aftermarket) fog lights into my gauge cluster lights, so that they come on when I turn my headlights on...could I have jiggled a loose wire? Seems awfully annoying to be a seatbelt reminder.

Mines always done that, it is annoying.

Beeps if the light are on,
beeps if the door is open,
beeps if the keys are in the ignition,
beeps if I have 1/8 of a tank,
suprized it doesn't beep if the cupholder is empty.

Ripped the buzzer out of my old 91 XJ,didn't affect anything.
Haven't looked for the one on this rig yet.

Probobly just pushed the beeper back in while doing your lights.
