I used GMC Jimmy springs and 1.5" boomerang shackles.
Gives me close to 7".
GMC Jimmy, Chevy S-10, small Chevy Blazer and such. Also Dodge Dakota.
Just cut the eyes off the top spring of the donor pack then remove your whole pack off your XJ except for the top leaf. Then just bolt up the whole donor pack to your top leaf. Works great for me.

I think it does great, I mainly stay on the trails but occasionally drive on the street and I have had no problems. I also did a trip up to Silverton Colorado and it did fine around curves and such but I was not going fast. I also have a tool bin in the back so it actually helps me off road by counterbalancing the front. I can tell the difference from when it is gone to when it is in there.
I think they flex fine, they are not super soft like some lift springs but they will also not sag. This is the most flex pics I have.
Without the boomarang shackels they will give between 4.5" and 5" of lift.
I am getting rid of the front set up and going to the T&T Y-Link.
