Gears for 31" or 32" tires

Thinking of going with 31 or 32" tires but i'd like to keep the TJ a daily driver. what gears provide the best day to day fuel economy?

Those aren't too much bigger and you'll probably be fine without a gear change.

in regards to the last post on this thread...i have an 89 cherokee, aw4 automatic, 4.0 I6 and i have 32" tires and i believe 3.55's...its a real dog on the highway....just wondering if a gear swap would help this and if so what gears?? appreciate any input!

i didnt see an option on that graph for an XJ 6 cyl...or for the aw4 trans...does anybody have an xj automatic 4.0 w/bigger tires...what gears do you have??

i have an 87 with 33s maybe a tad bigger with the 3.54 gears, it could stand being regeared to 4.10s

4.56 gears and 245/75/16 Rubicon Moab wheels and MTR tires. Freaken love the gearing! High RPM's on the freeway but im not scared, the 285/75/16 im getting should come be going on in a few months. dont be afraid to regear low, your tranny will love you for it
