I have 91 XJ with alarm.
Rollup and lock all doors. To include the gate.
Disable the horn if need be.
Make sure the battery is full charged.
A low or weak battery will not let the alarm reset.
The park lights should flash.
This should take about 5 minutes for the alarm to reset.
When the lights stop flashing the alarm is reset.
Engine should start
By you disconnecting the module one under the dash.
The engine disable is in the ECU so it it may not start.
Toe reset the module memory disconnect the battery negative cable.
The reciever for the alarm is in the over head console.
The 91 Transmitter is discontinued.
Locate a 1992- 1994 the transmitter is avaiable from jeep

thank you . im guessing the transmitter from a 92-94 will work with that receiver ? i got it to start with a starter jumper/button and it ran fine , so if i lock all doors and have windows rolled up leave it for five minutes and then come unlock the door it will allow me to start it up ? thats great news , any idea what a transmitter is worth 50$ ? how do i reprogram the transmitter?

thank you again
