Hey everybody,

I am a current XJ owner and i found a wrangler in good body condition. this jeep hasnt been ran for 2 years so im worried about getting it started. im planning on temporarly getting new gas, run iso heet, and sea foam through it. maybe ether to get it running. if i get it running i will do an oil change.

does anyone else have any other ideas to make it easier.

Might do an oil, oil and air filter and tranny oil change and maybe spark plugs and wires too before you try to start it. Just a suggestion, but if it's been sitting for 2 years that stuff may need to be changed. What year is it, maybe change the cap and rotor if it has one?

If you're just trying to get it started to check it out or get it home, then fresh gas and a can of ether should do the job. You may need a battery too! If it's already yours then do plugs, wires ,cap & rotor, air cleaner, fuel filter, pcv, and oil change. Clean up the throttle boby inside and out. Change the tranny, diffs and t-case fluids. Flush and fill the cooling system. This it what I would do because who knows when it was last done. Also I would do it just for the fun, I love working on a new to me vehicle. It is also a good way to get to know you're new rig!!!
