The other day I replaced my front left brake caliper and pads because the piston was stuck, and now I'm getting strange sounds.

I'm fairly sure I did it corectly, it looks like it was before I took it appart and it is symmetrical to the right side, but maybe someone will think of something, but this is the prob:

When turning the wheel, I hear a clanging sound (from the front left), and I hear the same sound when braking while going forward, but not backward.

I made sure the caliper is securely bolted on so I can't think of anything else... I haven't the slightest idea. Any help would be great.

Is there play between the brake pad sliders and the ends of the brake pads or between the caliper and the brake pad sliders???

Well, it turns out that I did everything right afterall.

I have found the problem: I'm a dumb***.

I had originally planned to put new drums on in the rear and so I loosened the lugs before jacking it up. I ran out of daylight and when lowering the car back to the ground... I forgot to retighten the rear lugs... Like I said ... newbie moment - I'm so embarrased
