Ok I’ve made reservations. We can stay in one of two places.

Number 1
http://www.harlancountycampground.com/
They have a 4 bedroom 3 bath house to rent for the weekend.
*1 King size bed in the master bedroom (Which Steve and Me are claming, organizer’s privilege)
* two of the bed rooms have a full size bed
* last bedroom has 3 twin beds

Along with some couches I think people could sleep on.

For those who do not want to say in the house the camp ground is 2/10 of a mile down the road.

For 15 people the house is $250 a day for 20 people the house is $300 a day.

The house does not have grill, but does have a stream to fish in, a fully stocked kitchen (minus food of course)

The house also has a huge garge to park in.

I’m thinking this is the best option.

Number 2
http://www.blackmountainrentals.com/
They have 3 small cabins and one large cabin left. This palace does not have camp sites yet, but if some people wanted to camp they could and the people in the cabins could share bathrooms. The 2 of the small cabins can sleep 4 the other can sleep 3. The large cabin can sleep 8.

The small cabins are $79 + tax a night
The large cabin is $109 + tax a night

Steve and I would take one of the small cabins for the two of us.

*****************************************************

So what is everyone thinking?

I am an advocate of sleeping indoors (MJ too)!

BIG House sounds good if we can divide up costs.

If not MJ and I will take a small cabin.

hehe, I vote we get Mark and MJ to pay for the house Finger

Seriously, the cost will be divided among those who stay at the house.

With the date change to June we will not be able to make this run. I originally submitted my vacation request for the Memorial Day weekend. I have since turned those days in and have been trying for June dates, they are not available.

We still have a bunch of good runs scheduled for this year plus some with NoVA Jeepers.

I called today and Mutts cannot stay in the house, but they can stay in the cabins.

I'm starting to lean toward the cabins. I'm not sure if we are going to have enough people for the house to make it worth while renting.

So I'm thinking,

a cabin for me and Steve

a cabin for MJ and Mark

and a cabin for Trevor and Yank.

That leaves the 8 person cabin for the KY boys if they want it. Steve you need to talk to them and found out if they want it or not. I need to cancel it if they don't.

Okay. Cabin will be fun stay in. I'm open to have another person or two who don't mind overly excited 31 inches at the shoulders GSD. Otherwise, Yankee and I are going to have the run of the cabin. Mr. Green

Trevor.

Here's a link to some maps for Harland http://www.sfwda.org/trails/harlan/harlanmap0511.jpg There are several different size maps there, should be helpful.
