what id do cj heads!! i cant wait to fix up and old school cj7 with an AMC 307? 304? i cant member now im red eyed Twisted Evil ... ha ha... any way my question is my friend has a 1988 grand wagoneer... the one with wood pannel e toe doe... any way.. im fairly sure he has danna 44's front and rear as he has the 5.9 360 in it and his axles are bigger than mine in my zj Evil or Very Mad .until i steal em of coursse Razz . im thinkn the chasis is fairly similar to a cj7... front and rear leaf springs on the d 44s.. i was wondering how the best way to get about 3-4 inch lift.. the most lift with out adding control arms or drive line mods.. he is currently on 30x 9.5s and wnats to go bigger but the 30's are right at fender level... is there any leaf spring he can snatch outa a junk yard for a lift? any help is greatly appreciated thanks guys Jeep ON

how long and wide are the leafs ? what size are the eye's? and how far is the center bolt from the front eye ?

Do a spring over. Waggys are sprung under. Then just get longer brake lines.

hmmm... so would i use the stock leafs? im thinkn thats what your sayin.. know anywhere that sells the conversion kit? or can i do it with the parts it has? thanks a bunch!!!

cut the mounts off the axle with a torch and weld them on the top . measure write down dimensions figure out what drive line angle you are going to want and weld the mounts back on . i use hose clamps around the axle to mark were the mount should go and were it was .

you could also cut them off with a zip disk or a plasma cutter , what ever you think you can do it with really . i would go with a torch because i could get the most of the mount off with one .

maybe you can buy mounts , google is your friend .
