ok, my windows will not work. I have checked all the door jambs and the kick panel for loose wires and everything. I have replaced every single one, and this is what happens. After I replace a wire, I will start the car, and the windows will work fine. BUt the VERY NEXT time I start the car, the windows won't work at all. THis happens almost every time I fix a loose wire.
So what is the problem? I am pretty sure now that a loose wire is not the problem.
thanks

Which wire are you replacing? Something you're moving is almost sure to be the problem. When the windows are NOT working and the truck is running, try shaking the wires where you had previously "replaced" or near that one and continually try the windows. I'll tell you that I had a problem with door locks and windows in my ZJ and it turned out to be a bad ground wire running from driver's side door into the cab. You can see a bundle of wires inside the black boot, check them one by one for breaks or chafing. Good Luck.

ive been replacing almost every single wire, ill try what you are saying, maybe that will work
no chance it is a bad relay or bad master switch right? because the windows work perfectly, that is until I shut off the engine, and turn it back on again.

I suppose it could be a relay. How do you get the windows to start working temporarily?

I just spliced a random wire together that looked like it was worn out, and then it worked.
I did this to a wire in the door hinge, and a wire in the kick panel, and both times the windows worked once, and then stopped working.
