Ok, I wnat to gear my xj for best gas mileage as well as offroad ability. It has 32in tires, a 6 cyl 4.0, a 5 speed manual, and the chrysler 8.25 rearend with stock 3.07 gears. I use it as a daily driver on the highway, but i am an archaeologist so my work takes me to some remote desert locations, mostly in mojave desert. Any ideas on what combo will be best>?

from that list i would recommend 4.10s, they would work well with 33s if you decided to go up in size
