I was just driving around after a long time behind the text books and i was wondering what the average 0-60 time for a 4.0 XJ was.. (stock) i've heard that its around 10s, is this true? or is this wishful thinking...

Now, if i want to try to get this time with my XJ any tips, pointers, cautions you guys would suggest....
Cuz i really want to see what the xj can do!!!

IMHO you are missing the whole point of driving a Jeep!

The 0-60 time of pushing a Shoe-Box down the road is of very little importance compared to the ability to move that Shoe-Box down any road or even no road at all!

A race car it is not!

ya but its still fun to race cars and win in that shoe box , unless they have something with power then you just loose but you say to your self hey i did pretty good for driving a box . and then you race them down a dirt road in the spring time while there is still 6 inches of snow on the ground Smile

i mean, i only have an exhaust on mine to make it sound more badass, but for stock it has all the power i want. good for spinning the tires going sideways around corners and such. pretty good pickup, but wastes gas. lol. got mine up to 100 on the highway(toped out spedomiter). im not complaining for an suv

I can remember when my dad had the car on the highway one day... got it up to 180km/h... because of that day we got three speeding tickets sent to our house...
I can see if you have the right conditions, you can get it up to 200, 220 seems a bit high..
but it is a block on wheels, so you can't expect it break through the wind or 200..

I've gotten mine up to 118 going to oklahoma once...I'd say the 0-60 is better than 10 seconds since XJ's are so lightweight.
