Bought my first Jeep Saturday. A 2004 Wrangler X with 40k miles. Very clean, well maintained. I also think they added the bumpers and nerf bars, because I was thinking the X models had the black square bumpers.

Here she is Mr. Green

Nice Jeep! Actually, I've seen 'em sold at the stealerships that way before, kind ofa way to spruce up the Wrangler X to sell it better (and cost more).

Now let the "lift bug" chew on you awhile... rofl

And don't forget the mud to cover up the chrome... bling bling

Thanks for the welcome. Now if I can figure out the CDplayer "Err" problem, I'll be good.

My spare wheel matches the others, so maybe the dealer did do it.

I want a 6 spd for it Mr. Green

You get used to seeing certain packages the stealerships here in Virginia pot on, and the tube bumpers are pretty popular. BTW, welcome from Richmond!!!

welcome

The license plate? Well, the quick and dirty way would be zip ties around a tube. You could also use radiator straps (the ones with the holes in them) and hang it down fro mthe top bar (not very attractive either). I can't remember if there's a piece that fits INBETWEEN the tubes that can mount a plate, but as popular as those bumpers are, I'm sure it's out there.

I welded a bracket for mine onto the prerunner bar on my offroad bumper so that I could lift it out of the way and get to the winch behind it. Definitely don't wanna try that method though.

Maybe two long screws that could fit between the rails with four washers , two for the front , two to the rear . That should solve the problem. tool

I think there's one pre-fabbed for tubular bumpers listed on quadratec.com

I didn't need one on my Mini when I bought it new. I was stationed in Norfolk back in '03. It might be a lack of enforcement thing though.
Screw 'em stick it in your window.
