4.56 if you have the 5-speed manual with 4.0.
3.73 or 4.10 if you have the 3-speed auto with 4.0
4.88 if you have the 4-cyl with either transmission.

Take off your 33s and go back to the stock tires.

There should be a tag attached to the bolts on either diff cover. The tags will tell you what gears you currently have. They will be 3.07, 3.55, or 3.73 if you have 4.0 with manual tranny. 3.07 or 3.73 if it's a 4.0 with auto tranny. Four cylinders with a manual trans have 4.11's, 4 cyl. with auto have 3.73. Rubicon's have 4.10's. At least these are what is put in at the factory.

It's not worth the expense to regear from one ratio to the next. Jumping two steps or more is much more cost effective. Otherwise, you've just spent $1000+ on parts and labor for not much gain.

Check out the tag on your diff.

Im very happy with my I6, 33's and 4.56 gears. If I was to crawl all the time I would maybe say 4.88's, but honestly 4.56's are perfect for crawling and street. You could go 3.73's if you wanted more of a street rig and less playing, but I know two others that went 3.73's and they wish they had the 4.56 gears.

Of course the 3.73 comment only applies if your running 3.07 gears. Wink
