hey everyone, ive got an 89 Cherokee that needs a motor, and im wondering if the H.O. short block will directly change over into my Renix set up. any help would be great! Very Happy

i did that swap and i will say i didn't even try i just swapped in the harness and computer as well . perhaps it could be done , you also need fuel lines for the h.o rail the coil is also mounted differently . i would try for a early ho they would have more in common .

why do you want to swap them ? its not that big of difference in power , i did it because my renix was toast .

No i mean the short block (the motor without the Head, valve cover fuel system etc.) the only reason i wanted to know is because i found an H.O. short block with 90K on it, my motor has 250,000 and its shot. I know if you have to change out the whole motor you have to adapt the TPS and fuel rail like you were saying.

the short block will go in no problem , the head should go in no problem . however the sensors on the throttle body im not so sure .

same short block , you will just have to mount the coil i think .
