I am new here, and I have a problem.. go figure ..
Well my problem is that I start my gc and drive for a few minutes and then it stalls and dies. I try starting it but the engine turns and nothing happens. After a few minutes I can start it and it runs for a few hundred meters and dies again.
I have a 4 liter 6 cyl engine ....
I do not have a engine manual so I would need directions in locating the things that need inspecting ( sorry that my english is not good.. I am from Iceland)

Sounds like you IAC needs to be cleaned or replaced.

The IAC is Idle Air Control. Here's a pic. You'll need a can of carb cleaner. Spray the throttle body inside and out. Clean the port that IAC sits in really good, it's probably full of carbon. Then clean the pintle on the IAC thoroughly, it's the mushroom shaped thing, make it shine if possible. Hopefully this is it, if not post up and we'll move on to the next thing.

Normally when the CPS goes out you cant start at all.. So IAC or TPS are good places to start..

I have cleand the IAC, and yes I found carb-cleaner here in Iceland Wink but nothing changed.

Well now I am down to the fuel pump ( I think) .. after a few test and trials I found out that there is not enough fuel flow to the engine.
Is the fuel pump in the tank? Can I test the fuel pump, just find out if it is the wiring or the pump?
By the way, your answers here have been great.

I think that is a good idea. Does the same pump work for the 6 cyl engine?

Fuel pressures are very similar V8 and I6 so the same pump should work..
