i just put a 2 inch lift on my 97 xj. the kit came w/ pro comp explorer shocks. for the rears, all i had to do was press the bar pin into the upper eye to make them bolt right in. not so simple for the fronts: the shocks are identical to the rears, w/ an eye on both ends. in all my infinite wisdom, i failed to realize that the stock shocks have a threaded bolt on the upper end. is there any way to run a shock w/ an eye on each end on the front, or am i best off trying to exchange them for ones w/ a similar setup as the factory pieces? any info on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

thanks for the info- i just ended up swapping the shocks for the correct ones, figured that would be the easiest thing to do. now i just have to get rid of the vibrations caused by the lift... |
