On my 2000 WJ GC, the Horn and Cruise Switches aren't working and I keep hearing that it's most likely the Clock Switch. Dealer wants $120 for the part and from what I've read seems fairly simple to remove/install. Has anyone done it before and if so can share any detailed instructions or tips?

Also can anyone recommend a good service manual to purchase - possibly one that I can buy online and download?

Thanks!

i don't know of one to download but the best is going to be a Haynes or Chilton , i actually think Chilton makes Haynes or something but can't remember .

there are some computer ones like Mitchel on Demand , and yes it is the best but it is also really expensive .

Go for the Factory Service Manual. It's more expensive ($100) but It'll save you a lot.

P.S. I've saved over $1200 already and I've owned the car for 3 years.

Go to

http://www.jeepmania.com/Manuels/

Download the "wj.zip" file. It contains the 1909 page manual and parts manuals.

Good stuff!
