Hi all,
When i bought my TJ 8 months ago i noticed this strange noise from the front (brand new). Confused
It sounds like the pads are not fully disengaging an are constantly rubbing to the discs.

Now when I am back home i decided to check what is going on.
When i lifted the front up and tried to rotate the wheel i could hear the same noise and it realy was not easy to turn it.
I also noticed that the front discs are heating considerably more than the back ones.
Enough to be untochable after just a mile with only a few stops

Please help!
I need to know what it might be before I go to the dealer as out here they are much of a stealers than dealers. Evil or Very Mad

Regards
Lamcho

Possibly the calipers are sticking.

You bought it brand new 8 months ago...take it back under warranty if you think something is wrong. You have a 3yr/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

As far as your complaint, keep in mind the rear does very little braking. The majority is done by the front (ever take note of the size of the front rotor, caliper, and pad size as compared to rears??). Also, disc brakes do not disengage like you would expect.

Well,
As i said before, the dealer here shall be called stealer.

How can I check if it is sticking caliper?

What else can it be!

They can't steal anything if it is under warranty.

Vote senconded for the dealer, and resistance other than the weight of the wheel is drag and its sticking for some reason.
